Protein Biochemists Richard R. Burgess & Colleagues at the McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research, University of Wisconsin, USA
Richard R. Burgess, one of GWC’s Scientific Advisors, is a recognized leader
Richard R. Burgess
in protein biochemistry, especially in the area of RNA polymerases and transcription factors. Dr. Burgess & colleagues are using the SPRimager®II to study protein interactions. According to Dr. Burgess:

"My lab's research focuses on protein biochemical studies of protein-protein interactions. I recently had the opportunity to try out the GWC SPRimager®II to characterize some antibody-protein interactions. I found it remarkably easy to learn to use and within a few hours we confirmed most of the characteristics of these interactions that took us weeks to do originally. We are eager to use the Imager to characterize new sets of monoclonal antibodies to identify those with special properties useful in immunoaffinity chromatography and in sandwich ELISAs. The ability to use unpurified ascites fluid, to avoid use of fluorescent and radioactive labels, and to study multiple antibodies simultaneously has particular appeal."
